Am I too young or too old?

Are you at least 4 years old? Good! You can do it!

What will be expected from me?

We expect our students to give their best effort. Technique at the early stages of training is not as important as your positive attitude. If a student tries hard and has a good attitude, they will develop better technique over time because they are listening and learning.

How many times a week should I train?

2x a week is recommended for our class cycles in ranking up to your next belt. Being consistent is important to your advancement and goal accomplishment. To stay on cycle with everyone else 2x a week, any 2 days of your choosing, is recommended.

What do I wear?

For your free trial simply wear comfortable workout clothes. Kids do well in their regular play clothes. We are barefoot on the matt. You will receive a new uniform (gi) & belt when you sign up for any of our programs. Additionally, we have Full Circle Dojang school t-shirts for sale at our facility. Full uniform is required during winter season. Summer season only FCD t-shirt & gi pants are required.

When do I get a Black Belt?

It is possible to become a 1st Degree Black Belt in about 3 years if you have consistent attendance and pass all testings successfully. However, it takes most people longer to attain that rank. Remember, the 1st Degree Black Belt is just a beginning, not the end, of serious training. There are 9 degrees of black belt.

Can I just come to watch?

Definitely! However, we recommend that you come in and actually try the class. It will be a fun experience, and you will get a better feel for it. Then you can decide whether you like it.
